Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Little Voices is a speech and language app for children, built by a parent. We designed it to collect as little as possible and to never sell or advertise. This policy explains what we store, why, and the control you have. It is written in plain language on purpose.

The app works without an account

You can use Little Voices fully offline with no account. In that mode, everything — your child’s cards, board, photos, and progress — stays only on your device and is never sent to us.

What we store if you sign in

Signing in is optional and turns on backup and sharing between caregivers. If you sign in, we store:

Children’s data

Little Voices is used with children, and photos you add may be of your child. We treat this data as sensitive: it is only ever visible to the caregivers you have linked to that child, enforced at the database level. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the app to your family and care team. Parents (or guardians) are in control of what is added and who has access.

What we do NOT do

Sharing with other caregivers

You may invite another adult (a partner, teacher, or therapist) to a child using a one-time code. They then see that child’s board and progress. As the owner, you can remove a caregiver’s access at any time from within the app.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from the app (Parent tab → Account & backup → Delete account). This permanently removes your account, the children you created, and all their cards, progress, and photos from our servers. Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device.

Where data is stored

Backup data is stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, which encrypts data in transit and at rest. Photos live in a private bucket that is never publicly accessible.
